This Privacy Policy explains how 2Work ("2Work") collects, uses, and protects your information when you use https://2work.in.

1. Information we collect

Account data (name, email, password hash, role); profile data (company or professional details, skills, portfolio links); verification data (legal name, country, and the last four characters of an identity reference, processed into a protected fingerprint); project, proposal, contract, milestone, deliverable, message, and dispute content; payment status and settlement records (we do not store full card or bank details); and usage/analytics data such as aggregate visit counts.

2. How we use it

To operate the marketplace; verify users; facilitate milestone payments and settlement; provide notifications; prevent fraud and abuse; comply with legal obligations; and improve the service.

3. Sharing

We share data with: our payment provider (to collect funds, hold them against milestones, and settle to Freelancers); our email provider (to send verification and account messages); and authorities where required by law. We do not sell personal data.

4. Security

Sensitive verification details are encrypted at rest (AES-256-GCM). Passwords are stored only as salted hashes; session and recovery tokens are stored only as hashes; transport is over HTTPS. Access is restricted and audit-logged.

5. Retention

We retain account and transaction records for as long as your account is active and as required for legal, tax, and dispute-resolution purposes, after which data is deleted or anonymised.

6. Your rights

You may request access to, correction of, or deletion of your personal data, subject to records we must retain by law. Contact us using the details below.

7. Cookies

We use a single, strictly necessary, HttpOnly session cookie for authentication. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
